Hello Byron Center AYSO families,
Welcome to the spring season, and thank you for your patience as a brand new group of volunteers learn the system and work within the constraints we have with the park and the overall number of volunteers we have.
The vision of the American Youth Soccer Organization is; To provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives. Our Mission; AYSO is a nationwide non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on AYSO's Six Philosophies.
If you don't know, AYSO's philosophies are living tenets that separate it from other sports organizations. They are Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development. You can read more about them at ayso815.org/faq.
Schedules
I understand that the game schedule may not be ideal, but it is the best we can make it given the hand that Byron Center AYSO was dealt this spring.
All schedules have been posted. This was a monumental feat of our new Region Scheduler, Meagan Ashby, [email protected], along with help from Coach Tim for the interplay schedules.
As we have said, we are not able to play home games on May 31. We are also generally restricted from playing games on weeknights. However, we do have the park reserved to play games on May 27, and May 28. There are a couple of divisions that have an odd number of teams and requires some to play both of those weeknights.
10U Boys - Six teams will be playing a game with another AYSO region. Several of them are away games. Please pay special attention to your schedule. This was done because there are an odd number of teams in your division.
12U & 14U - Your schedules have been live as they were done at the area level. An email did NOT go out when they went live. You may view your schedule on your Team Page at ayso815.org. You may also find your schedule on the Area 8J Schedule site, ayso8j.org/schedule.
All other divisions, your schedules are complete and on your Team Page at ayso815.org.
Picture Day
This season picture day is April 19. The order form is available here: Picture Order Form Spring 2025. Your teams picture time is to be determined. The photography company is making that schedule and it will be communicated to you as soon as we have it.
Uniforms
If you are waiting for an uniform, they are on their way. We did get a late start this spring, however they should be here by April 19.
No Pets at AYSO Events
For the safety of players and the enjoyment of all, we ask all parents, guests, and spectators to please leave your pets at home when you attend any AYSO event. Byron Center AYSO has adopted a No Pets policy for all AYSO events, including all practices and games. This is in line with the National AYSO pet policy. Any Americans with Disabilities compliant services animal are always exempt from this policy.
Empty Board Member Positions
Byron Center AYSO is staffed fully by volunteers. Coaches, Referees, and Board Members have all volunteered their time to facilitate this program. We do need to fill a couple more positions on our board. We are without a Referee Administrator, Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate, Secretary, Fields Manager, and a leader - the Regional Commissioner. Next Season
The 2025/2026 season is still in jeopardy. We need to fill the Referee Admin, and CVPA roles at a minimum in order to open registration for next season. More information regarding open registration for Fall 2025/Spring 2026 will be at ayso815.org/registration when it becomes available.
